Situation:
Manufacturer of standard and custom windows and storm doors finds it difficult to compete with larger, nationally distributed suppliers.

Solution:
After conducting a comprehensive analysis of overall business, marketing and manufacturing operations strategies, ASG recommended several changes:

• Manufacturing team to focus on proprietary process for edge welding aluminum window frames
• Work with supplier team to create overall end-to-end systems mapping for edge welding process
• Perform a complete review of the existing manufacturing and material flow through the plant

Result:
To date, a 25 percent increase in manufacturing productivity has been achieved. Operating teams continue to work on streamlining additional upstream processes.
