The customer of an e-coat painting facility wanted to reduce logistics costs associated with shipping large, empty shipping containers to the e-coat facility for loading of coated products into the containers, after which the containers were shipped to Mexico.

Investing in returnable containers paid off within six months. Future savings for the overall logistics costs will exceed $150,000 per year, with potential for additional savings as the customers investigates utilizing this shipping process across other supplier lines.
